He tends his flock like a
shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart;
he gently leads those that have young. Isaiah 40:11 |

A Child's Prayer from Old
Testament Times
"Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have
redeemed me, O Lord God of truth" (Ps 31:5). This is the prayer of
Jewish boys and girls in the Old Testament times. Whenever he went to
bed, the little child would say, "Into Your hand I commit my spirit."
When our Lord Jesus Christ gave His life for us on the cross, He said,
"It is finished! Into Your hands I commend My spirit" (John 19:30; Luke
23:46). When you commit your life into God's hand, you don't have to
worry about any other hand, because His hand protects you, provides for
you and guides you. -- from Warren Wiersbe walks us through the Psalms
