I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
John 10:10

Theme: Fresh Air,What Every Mom Needs

Every mom wants freedom, balance, perspective and rest. MOPS International exists to equip, encourage and develop moms. The components of our annual theme provide a meaningful and fun way to organize the MOPS program throughout the year, but the reason for having an annual theme is much deeper. It reinforces one scriptural truth through a variety of communication, teaching and training methods, so that each mom who is involved in MOPS will realize her potential throughout the year.

Everyone desires to live a full life, but the busyness of daily life for a mom may cloud the fullness that she can have through a relationship with Jesus. The foundation for the Fresh Air theme is that fullness only comes through knowing Jesus; however, this theme builds during the year. Moms coming into MOPS in the fall may be only seeking refreshment and focusing on basic needs such as help and relationship. Throughout the course of the MOPS year, the need for hope is introduced, and the fullness that only Jesus can offer is modeled by MOPS leaders.

What Every Mom Needs

  • Identity
  • Growth
  • Relationship
  • Help
  • Perspective
  • Hope

Who

  • Mothers of children aged 0-5 (children’s program included, MOPPETS)

What

  • A support ministry seeking to nurture and encourage every mother of preschoolers by meeting their distinct needs to the glory of Jesus Christ.

Where

  • The Cheyenne Berean Church (gym)

When

  • 2nd and 4th Thursdays monthly from 9:00-11:00 (call office for schedule)

Support

  • Moms need to know that we believe mothering matters and we support them. It is easy to feel the pressure as a mother to be everything to many people. As a result moms end up tired, worn out and overwhelmed. In the hustle and bustle of being the primary care giver of small children many feel they have lost their freedom. MOPS works to remind women of the freedom they can experience as a mother with just a little encouragement and support.

Topics

  • Through the year topics are planned to focus on the nine identified needs of mothers: significance, identity, growth, instruction, intimacy, recreation, help, perspective and hope. MOPS offers a safe place for mothers and their young children for talking, fun, creativity, relaxation and mentoring.

  • Though MOPS is not a bible study, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through life-style evangelism is a priority in everything we do.
