ministry team. Here are some Prayer Chain guidelines:
- Have a fervent belief that God hears and answers prayer.
- Have a notebook for the specific use of writing down the
request.
- When you receive a request for prayer, enter the number
of the request, the date, and then write in your notebook the exact words
that are given to you. Then pass the request on exactly as you received it.
- Immediately dial the next person on your list. Continue
to dial each person in order, until you reach someone to carry the request
forward. This would be in case you are unable to reach the person next in
line or even the next, etc. Then keep trying to reach the person whom you
failed to reach in the beginning.
- Pray immediately! Continue to pray as the Lord leads.
- Notify your caller when you are to be on vacation or out
of town, out of courtesy and to avoid unnecessary calls.
- The exact words of a request are important, if a request
doesn’t sound right, please check its accuracy.
