Expectations of the Band
-
Commitment to Christ: This includes having
regular quiet times, maintaining a prayer life, and growing in personal
worship. Growing in the ability to express your heart to the one you are
worshiping is imperative because you can't lead others where you've never
been.
-
Commitment to Be Spiritually Prepared: Being
prepared spiritually to minister when it comes time to lead others in
worship is key. This ties in with the first expectation and means constantly
keeping your life in check with God so that, when worship times
come, your heart is in a place where God can use it. It will be your
responsibility to make sure you are right with God before trying to lead
others to Him in worship.
-
Commitment to Musical Expertise: This
includes any needed personal practice time and commitment to expand and
develop your gift or ability to its potential for God.
-
Commitment to Be a Team: This means working
together for the good of the whole; communicating honestly, yet respectfully
and
avoiding anything that would destroy the unity of the team.
-
Commitment to Punctuality
This means showing high esteem for other people and their time by not being
late to practice.
